Dance-Off Championships

The Dance-Off Championships wrap up the week of Nationals with the top routines competing for a spot on one of our coveted VIP Lists.

Solo VIP List

The top scoring solos re-compete for a place in the Solo VIP List in both the Megastar and Rockstar levels.

Duo/Trio VIP List

The top scoring duo/trios re-compete for a place in the Duo/Trio VIP List in both the Megastar and Rockstar levels.

Group VIP List

The top scoring groups battle it out at our dance-off for a spot on the 12 & Under VIP List and the 18 & Under VIP List in both the Megastar and Rockstar levels.

Company VIP List

All Company Lines and Productions compete in the Company Showdown event to earn a spot on the Company VIP List in the Megastar and Rockstar Levels.

IDOL OF THE YEAR

Idol of the Year is presented in the 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under, and 18 & Under divisions.

Eligible participating dancers will be featured in the digital program and onsite at the event. There is no additional fee to enter but all requirements must be met.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Awarded Idol Soloist
- Participation in all Workshop Classes, Scholarship Auditions and Opening Number
- Must compete a solo routine in the Rockstar Level at Nationals

Selecting Winners:
All faculty and judges will vote on the winners of each age division based on competitive solo execution, performance in class and auditions, workmanship and leadership qualities expressed through Opening rehearsals, and the dancer's ability to present themselves as a role model... a VIP Idol!

WORKSHOP

At the 2024 Nationals, we are excited to offer the Workshop, a full convention experience over the course of two days, including classes in various dance styles, specialty classes, and scholarship auditions in three dancer level rooms and a teacher room.

- Workshop fees are provided to studio owner accounts (log in to access the entry fee page).
- All Regional Idol Solo Winners may attend the Workshop on scholarship. Pre-registration is required.
- Teacher Sessions are complimentary and open to faculty members age 18+ from all registered studios. Pre-registration is required.

The Red Carpet Walk

On Dance-Off Day, the lobby is transformed into a Red Carpet Experience with special lighting, professional photographers, and photo ops with the judges, staff, and new dance friends alike!

SCHOLARSHIP
AUDITIONS

Workshop attendees take part in Scholarship Auditions at the start of the week. Finalists compete in the On-Stage Improv Line on Dance-Off Day to win scholarships to VIP Dance events and several summer intensive opportunities valued at up to $4,000 in cumulative scholarships presented.

IDOLS OPENING NUMBER

The Idols Opening Number showcases the amazing talent from around the country, our Regional Solo Idol Winners. The choreography & rehearsal sessions, special lighting effects, exclusive custom t-shirts, performance on Dance-Off Day, and the many new friends made during the process make this an awesome experience of wonderful memories!
